A delightful breakfast surprise

My stay at Wayside Guesthouse was invigorated by Jackie’s remarkable hospitality, preparing delightful breakfasts that showcased local flavors each morning. The atmosphere felt warm and inviting.

However, I faced a minor inconvenience with the lack of air conditioning control in my room, making some nights warmer than I'd hoped. Also, the stairs leading to my room proved a bit of a challenge with heavy luggage.

The ventilation problem in the Queen Room made it tough to sleep. the only provided fan was either too loud or ineffective. Additionally, no fridge or minibar left us without cold water or snacks, which became a hassle given the heat. The bathroom felt cramped, lacking basic amenities like soap and a face towel. Storing personal items like medication became inconvenient, leading to some oversight on timing, and the non-opening window further restricted fresh airflow.

Loved the cozy atmosphere at Wayside Guesthouse. The location in old town made it super easy to explore temples and markets. Breakfast was standout, with a variety of delicious options that really filled me up for the day. Jackie was so helpful, giving great local tips and even packing breakfast for my early tours. The room felt spacious and had efficient air conditioning, which was a relief from the heat. However, I did face some inconvenience with the lack of ventilation in the Queen Room. The fan was either too loud or not very effective, making sleep a bit challenging some nights. Also, no fridge in the room meant I couldn't keep drinks cold, which was a hassle in the warm climate. Overall, the experience was warm and inviting, but better room amenities would improve comfort significantly.

I stayed in the Triple Room with Private Bathroom for 2 nights. The room was spacious and clean, but you do have to climb two flights of stairs, which can be a workout! The air conditioning was super effective, and I appreciated the big bottles of toiletries they provided. There was a good water refill system too, so no plastic waste. Really enjoyed the cozy vibe!

I loved everything about Wayside. The room was super clean, and the breakfast was amazing. Jackie and her staff were so accommodating, happy to greet me by name. I felt safe as a solo traveler, and it was great to have drinks available for sale, saving me trips to 7/11.
